2025 Summer Camp Mornings | Youth Artists in Residency: Creative Studio

• Weekly Morning Camps from 9:30 am - 12:00 pm

CALLING ALL MAKERS & ARTISTS & CREATIVES! Each week we will embark on a creative exploration of an incredibly vast variety of awesome recycled & ready for reuse materials & new art supplies using techniques in painting, collaging, sewing, printmaking, sculpture, woodworking, jewelry making, mixed media, and so much more. Our facilitators are all professional and practicing artists and teen artists who are excited to share their skills with your young artists as they experiment with new materials and gently guide them on their journey to acquiring new technical skills, build confidence, make new friends and create their very own collection of unique art work and collaborate with others on collective works. Your artist will have access to our specialty stations: Hot Glue, Jewelry Station, Sewing Station, Imagination Station, Wood Shop, Clay Station and more. Artists will learn to use various tools, while they explore our studio full of reclaimed & new materials small and large while they create various free-form project based work! What will they create? Anything they can imagine and more!

• Drop Off: Doors open at 9:15 (You may drop off as early as 9:15 when doors open)

• Pick Up: 12-12:10 (AFTER 12:10 YOU WILL BE CONSIDERED LATE FOR PICK UP)

2025 Summer Camp Afternoons | Youth Artists In Residency: Specialty Creative Studio

• Select Weeks of 1 Week Afternoon Camps from 2:00 pm - 4:30 pm

• Ages 6-14

• 25 participants per session Max

• During our 3 x 1 week afternoon sessions, as always whenever your child is at Art Makers Outpost, they are free to create whatever they can imagine- HOWEVER during these SPECIAL afternoons we will pull our specialty materials & focus our exploration on some specific art forms so your young artist will have the opportunity to go more in-depth with some of these special techniques while they create their masterpieces! As always just like in our morning sessions your young artist(s) are free to create anything they can imagine.

  • Week 9 | Aug 4-8 | Paint Pouring, Gelli Print Making, Slime, Collage & Miniature Building | $300

2025 FOCUS 2-Week Intensive Afternoon Camp: Youth Entrepreneur Program & Makers Market

June 16 - 27 Entrepreneur Camp | 2 Weeks | 2pm-4:30pm |  (*No Camp June 19th) | MAKERS MARKET June 28th Market 12-3 / Setup 11am- Break down 3-3:30pm

• Ages 8-17

• Limited to 15 participants

• WE HAVE ADDED NEW THINGS: This summers program includes a SATURDAY publically marketed market, lunch and treats along with special materials from our VAULT of specialty items and includes design and redesign to elevate your skills in building displays, designing business cards / posters/ marketing materials.

• Dive into the world of art, where you'll learn to create, name your craft, and set up your own art business. During this immersive experience, participants will discover the joy of creating while acquiring & building essential business skills.

• This course is suitable for beginners; who have no idea what business they would like to create all the way to our most advanced young business owners; who are looking to expand, improve, experiment and advance their businesses to the next level.

• This program will prepare your youth artist to be ready to register for city markets and fairs across Chicago & the Northshore & right here in Evanston. Over 10 intensive days your child will gain both the knowledge, skills and confidence to confidently create their products and set up their work to sell at public markets and fairs and talk to customers about their art and artistry.

• Your child will work as a part of a cohort and have the opportunity to meet professional artists who will visit our studio during this special session. Your artist will have access to our all of our specialty stations: Hot Glue, Jewelry Station, Sewing Station, Imagination Station, Wood Shop, Clay Station and have access to our vault of very extra special materials.

• Join a vibrant community of young artists, and showcase your unique creations at our Makers Market on Saturday June 28 from 12-3 (Set up 11, Break down 3-3:30) Pick up by 4

• What’s even more exciting is that 100% of your sales will go directly to you, empowering you to pursue your artistic dreams.

• As always everyone is encouraged to donate a small percentage of sales to the Evanston Community Fridge Project or other organization that they choose.

  
  

2025 FOCUS 2-Week Creative Intensive Afternoon Camps:

Mural Camp & Unveiling Showcase AGES 9-17

MURAL CAMP July 7- July 17th 2-5pm

(9 days + unveiling July 18 from 2-3:30 (unveiling at 2:30 with party till 3:30- Please drop your artists off at 2pm and join us at 2:30 outside for the celebration)- $550

• ***New this year: We have added 4.5 hours to this camp along with snack each day and we will be adding more 3D materials and teaching our muralists how to add 3D elements to their final pieces such as Mosaics, metals, plastics, molding material and glass to their final murals. A Snack is also included and provided for each day of this camp (please indicate any allergies when registering).

• Drop off 1:50 | Pick Up 5pm

• 9 days + Celebration July 18 from 2:30-3:30 (unveiling at 2:30 with party till 3:30, please have your children at AMO at 2pm on July 18th and join us with family and friends at 2:30 outside for unveiling, ribbon cutting & celebration)

• Ages 9-17 | 12 participants MAX

• Do you love painting? Street Art? Graffiti Spray Paint? Have you dreamed of having your art displayed for everyone to see and admire for an entire year? Join us for this deep dive into mural arts where you will have the opportunity to fully immerse yourself in creating a collaborative 4x24 foot 2D & 3D mural that will be publicly displayed on the outside of the building at Art Makers Outpost. With your peers in this special cohort, you will have the opportunity to learn new painting techniques using acrylic paint and spray paint to design, glass, tile, metal, molding medium & more and produce a 2D/3D street-side mural for all to see and celebrate!

2025 Specialty 2-Week Creative Focus Afternoon Camp:

2 Weeks | July 21-Aug 1 | 2-4:30pm | MASKS, WEARABLES & THERIAN Makers | Ages 7-17 | $625

• (Last day from 3:30-5pm caretakers & friends welcome to view all creations in Therian & Otherkin Mask & Creative Sharing , cookies & popsicle party with limited rugs for slow moving quadrobics.

  In this first ever Mask Making & Wearable Costuming Camp your young artist, young mask lover, young Therian and young Otherkin will have the opportunity to explore the depths of mask making, full head, face, top head, body costuming, fur based wearable design, fabric, sewing, molding, foam formations, snouts, elaborate ears, eyes and mouths and more! Therian and Otherkins and first time mask makers unite in a safe space to be exactly who they are! Join us for an unforgettable very special, incredibly creative & spectacular 2 weeks this summer, be yourself, come as you are, you belong here with us!

• Become a Counselor-in-Training (CIT), ideal for first & second time job training for kids ages 13-15, and dive into a world of creativity and inspiration! As a CIT, you'll be part of a dynamic team working with kids, building your own leadership skills and style, guiding young artists through exciting artistic endeavors. Enjoy the opportunity to learn new artistic skills and fine-tune your craft while leading young artists eager to explore their creativity. Your role as a CIT is not only rewarding but also comes with a discounted rate, making it an affordable and enriching experience. Join us in fostering a love for the arts and creating lasting memories with our young artists!

ART MAKERS OUTOPOST CAMP POLICIES & AGREEMENTS

There is a break between morning and afternoon sessions- no programing or care or lunch is offered. This is our staffs break between sessions. If you would like to register for both morning and afternoon sessions during the same week(s) your child must leave between morning and afternoon sessions.  If you are late to pick up 2 x we reserve the right to charge you $25 per instance and if excessive than $50 per every15-30 minute period you are late.  Please call if you have extenuating circumstances so our staff is aware.

If you need to switch sessions after registering, that is allowed as long as there is space in your requested program. We do not guarantee the opportunity to switch sessions but will make every effort. We always make it as easy as possible for you as long as there is space in the program you are switching to, if we cannot accommodate, please note that all refund policies apply no matter the situation.
